A judge stunned a courtroom by using the C-word as she jailed a racist thug.

Vile John Hennigan, 50, was being sentenced by Judge Patricia Lynch QC when he told her she was “a bit of a c***”

But, taking no prisoners, the judge immediately retorted: “You are a bit of a c*** yourself. Being offensive to me doesn’t help.”

Hennigan shouted back: “Go f*** yourself.”

Judge Lynch dropped the C-bomb as she jailed Hennigan for 18 months for insulting a black Caribbean mother.

He told Tanisha Ford: “I don’t agree with inter-racial relationships. I like natural” later adding: “I prefer white children”.

The court heard Hennigan has 23 convictions for 47 offences, many of them involving Nazi salutes and racist incidents.

The latest offence, committed in his hometown of Harlow, Essex, was his ninth breach of an ASBO banning him from acting in an anti social way or using racist language.

In October 2012 he was seen performing a Nazi salute in a central London pub and calling black people vile racial slurs.

Describing Tanisha’s reaction to Hennigan’s racist outburst, Prosecutor Lynne Shirley said: “She was shocked and surprised.

“The incident made her feel very upset, hurt, out of place and distressed. She was alarmed her children had to listen to the comments.”

While sentencing Hennigan at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday, Judge Lynch told him: “Your offence is thoroughly unpleasant and repeated breaches of this order using the most unpleasant of language and causing distress.

“It’s said custody would be distressing for you but it seems you never learn.

“This is the ninth time you have breached this order, the same offensive, racist comments and you don’t deserve another chance.”

It was at this point that Hennigan began talking directly to the judge and swearing at her.

Following their c-word exchange Hennigan banged on the glass panel of the dock, performed a Nazi salute and twice shouted “Sieg Heil” before starting to sing “Jews gas them all….”

Judge Lynch, still speaking in a measured tone, commented: “We are all really impressed. Take him down.”

It isn’t the first time the judge has been in the limelight.

Last year, Judge Lynch apologised for not jailing a pervert pensioner who abused teenage girls.

She spoke out after Michael Taylor admitted sexually assaulting two youngsters at Mistley Place Park animal sanctuary.

The 75-year-old groomed, kissed and groped the two girls, forcing kisses on them and touching one teen’s breasts.

Taylor admitted the sickening acts and was sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court however he avoided jail after Judge Lynch said her hands were tied by strict sentencing guidelines.

She told the victims and their families she wanted to pass a longer than minimum prison term, possibly suspended but due to the guidelines she could only pass down a 36-month community order.

A SERIAL racist who has blown a £50,000 inheritance through drinking and misbehaving will be given a chance to mend her ways with the help of a tough East Lancashire rehab regime.

Jasmine Astin, who has no fewer than six convictions for racially-aggravated disorder, has been told she must live in a women’s only drying-out unit run by Blackburn-based Thomas.

Appearing before Burnley Crown Court, the 22-year-old admitted attacking Asian-owned takeaways in Rawtenstall and Blackburn.

Emma Kehoe, prosecuting, said Astin had initially been ordered to leave Mi-Mi’s, in Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, on February 7, after being racially abusive to staff and customers. But she returned armed with a knife, which she began waving around and continued to be offensive.

Astin, of no fixed address, was charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence and possession of a bladed article before being bailed by police.

But on February 14 she was found abusing Asian staff at the Tasty Spot takeaway in Darwen Street, Blackburn, the court heard.

Miss Kehoe said: “She climbed over the counter … and when she was challenged she then started with the racial abuse.”

Astin also tried to spit at staff before they managed to remove her from the premises. She then went next door to the Pyramid takeaway, where she started throwing chairs around and racially abused staff.

Mark Stuart, defending, said his client, who admitted involvement in each of the incidents, had received a substantial inheritance, aged 18, after the death of her father. He told the court she had spent the money, on drinking, and staying in hotels and bed and breakfasts.

Others had taken advantage of her, including people she met through Facebook, but she now realised her life had to change,which could be assisted through the alcohol-free Thomas Project said Mr Stuart.

Imposing a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, Judge Jonathan Gibson told Astin she had a ‘shocking record’ for racially-aggravated offences.

The judge said Astin, who must undertake a 12-month rehabilitation requirement,should initially live as directed by Thomas.

Police have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on robberies after armed robber Joshua Dempsey was jailed for nine years.

Yesterday, Dempsey, 25, of Convamore Road, Grimsby was sentenced at Grimsby Crown Court after being branded a dangerous offender.

He previously pleaded guilty to the following:

Robbery on the December 3, 2015 at the Betfred Bookmakers of Ladysmith Road
Robbery on the December 6, 2015 at the Betfred Bookmakers of Laceby Road in Grimsby respectively
Two counts of being in possession of a knife/blade
Affray
Three counts of criminal damage

Dempsey also admitted the robbery on at Segal’s Jewellers on December 21, and this was taken into account.

Following the sentencing, Humberside Police said it remains “committed” to bringing offenders to justice.

Detective Constable Neil Haigh, the officer in charge of the investigation, said: “I am delighted Dempsey has been sentenced to nine years and am convinced he would have continued to offender if he’d remained at large.

“He is undoubtedly a dangerous man who thought nothing of using a knife to threaten innocent members of the public during two armed robberies in Grimsby. The robberies were terrifying for his victims and their bravery throughout should be commended. I am sure that they will welcome the fact he will is now behind bars.

“Dempsey was arrested on Christmas Day after members of the public called the force in response to a wanted person appeal. Unfortunately, he took to the roof tops to try and evade arrest causing disruption to family’s festive plans, as well as causing significant damage to property and vehicles area. I am sure they will all be pleased he has received such a significant sentence.

“I hope the case serves as a warning to other offenders that robbery will not be tolerated and any offences will be robustly investigated to ensure offenders are brought to justice and the public are kept safe.”

“This was the case in the Dempsey case with all the pillars of the police force coming together to secure a conviction with detectives, community teams, response officers and Crime Scene Investigators all playing their part.

“I hope that Dempsey’s case sends out a strong message to other likeminded offenders that we can and will do everything possible to bringing you to justice if you offender in the Humberside Police area.”

A race hate thug who joined in vile chants branding Allah a paedophile at far-right marches has been revealed as a child sex fiend.

Kristopher Allan was part of the far-right group Scottish Defence League who shouted “f*** off refugees” and “Allah is a paedo” at a poorly-attended protest march in Edinburgh last October.

The Islamophobe last week admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner towards his ex at her Edinburgh home.

He was sentenced to a community payback order with two years’ supervision and a 30-month non-harassment order.

According to the Daily Record , he was also ordered to attend a programme for men who have abused their partners.

But now it has emerged that lowlife Allan has a conviction for sending indecent messages and photos and having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl at his home 10 years ago.

Allan admitted the offence in 2007 and was given a two-year probation order and had his name added to the sex offenders’ register for the same period.

He was banned from having any contact with under-16s and ordered to carry out offence-focused work to address his sexual offending.

A source said: “This guy goes to rallies to sound off about Muslim paedophiles. He’s a hypocrite.”

Though Allan, of Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, was wearing a Union flag mask and hood at the rally in October, he has been identified by a source by his distinctive arm tattoo.

Just three months later, he was arrested for causing fear or alarm to his partner by shouting and swearing and making threats of violence to a police officer.

A source said of his ex: “Her trust is shattered – she had no idea about his past. He has no shame.”

Allan could not be contacted for comment yesterday.

A neighbour said he had not been seen for weeks.

A footballer is facing jail after hurling racist abuse at a demonstration over Syrian refugees .

Midfielder Steven Kerr was arrested following clashes between pro and anti-refugee groups in Monkton, Ayrshire.

The 31-year-old was detained at the rally on Sunday, November 15, the Daily Record reported .

Kerr, known as “Kerso”, has played for Ayrshire Junior sides Craigmark, Lugar, Ardrossan and Whitletts Victoria.

It came just hours after the Paris attacks which left 130 people dead and following Prime Minister David Cameron ’s pledge that Britain would receive 1000 of the most vulnerable Syrian refugees before Christmas.

Tempers flared in Monkton’s Main Street when members of the Scottish Defence League and pro-refugee demonstrators clashed over refugees being granted emergency accommodation at a local hotel.

Delivery driver Kerr – a member of the Ayr Protestant Boys’ Flute Band – was arrested and charged with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

He was due to go on trial at Ayr Sheriff Court this week but struck a deal with prosecutors which saw him admit to shouting a single racist remark during the incident.

Sheriff Carole Cunningham deferred sentence for reports.

Kerr will be back in the dock next month.

A politician’s eight-year-old daughter was “petrified” when anti-Islamic protesters marched into the garden of their home with banners and banged on the window.

Lancashire MEP Sajjad Karim’s home was targeted by the English Defence League (EDL) as part of a day of protests against “radical Islam” in the county on July 2 last year.

Twelve admitted public order offences at Preston Crown Court for offences committed during the protests at another location in Brierfield and will be sentenced on May 25.

Speaking from Brussels, Mr Karim, who was due to give evidence, said: “It is not the sort of thing any child should ever have to be prepared for.”

Bernard Holmes, 26, of Bolton Road; Leonard Hawley, 47, of Worcester Road; David Wilson, 47, of Devon Road, all Blackburn, and Jason Smith, 43, of Torquay Avenue, Burnley pleaded guilty to racially aggravated provocation of violence while David Garrett, 45, of Beckett Street, Darwen, admitted having an offensive weapon.

Leanne Thornton, 26, of Oak Avenue, Todmorden; Graham Smith, 48, of Draperfield, Chorley; Paul Blundell, 45, of Lee Street, Longridge, John English, 24, of Shorrock Lane, Blackburn; Martin Corner, 31, of Corporation Street, Chorley; Jordan Lonsdale, 20, of Ribble Lane, Clitheroe, and Paul Jackson, 41, of Spring Bank Terrace, Blackburn, pleaded not guilty to violent disorder but admitted using threatening behaviour.

Sajjad Karim added: “To be afraid to leave ones house as a mob fuelled by hate protests outside is as frightening as it gets. They showed no regard to the fact my wife and daughter were at home.

“It left me hoping and praying that our four walls would keep us safe and you can’t begin to imagine how my young daughter felt.

“There were many more innocent people caught up in their violence that day and I am thankful this eleventh hour change of plea means they won’t have to relive their ordeal in a courtroom.

“We have not and will not allow such mobs to use their threatening ways to hound people in our society.”

A thug out celebrating his ‘lenient’ court sentence left a shop worker cowering and crying in front of her children in a sickening attack.

Kieron Wright was given a community order in March for his part in a cowardly assault that left a man with learning difficulties battered and bleeding in a pub toilet in Sunderland.

Within 24 hours of walking out of court the 19-year-old, who was given an ASBO in 2010, had turned his violence on Syeda Chowdhury, known as Sally, at a store in the city.

Newcastle Crown Court heard yesterday during the terrifying attack the victim had chunks of her hair pulled out and vile racist abuse was thrown at her.

Wright was handed a suspended sentence for his latest attack by Judge Roger Thorn QC.

The mum-of-four has been told it could take two years for her missing hair to grow back.

Prosecutor Richard Herrmann told the court the violence flared when Mrs Chowdhury confronted Wright over a pack of pork scratchings he had walked out of the store with but not paid for.

As the trouble spilled outside Mrs Chowdhury ended up standing at the door of her nearby home and her children came out.

Mr Herrmann said: ‘The defendant became racially abusive to her, throwing punches in her direction.

‘Two other people became involved, one who was convicted of threatening behaviour

‘The complainant describes she was very upset during the incident.

‘She was shaking, crying and chunks of her hair were on the ground.

‘Her children were screaming at the distress of the situation.’

Wright, of no fixed address, admitted breaching the original community order, breach of an antisocial behaviour order and affray.

Judge Thorn said: ‘He got what he thought was a lenient sentence and went out to celebrate to such an extent he committed the affray.’

Tony Hawks, defending, said Wright has been in Durham jail since March, which he has found an ‘intimidating experience.’

Judge Thorn said because Wright has spent the equivalent of a 12-month sentence on remand his 12-month prison sentence for the offence will be suspended for 18-months, with supervision.

The judge told him: ‘Newcastle Crown Court, in your view clearly, gave you a lenient sentence that you were not expecting.

‘I’m not going to express my own view of that because I don’t know the circumstances in which you were sentenced.

‘You went out and celebrated in a completely foolish way and committed further offences.’

As Wright left the court Judge Thorn warned him: ‘The last thing you ought to do is go and celebrate.’

A PROTESTER has been fined after parking outside polling stations on General Election day with a ‘Labour paedo party’ sign on his van.

Police were called to Horwich Library in Jones Street on May 7 after the white van had been spotted there, Bolton Magistrates Court heard.

Officers traced the van to Wayne Riley and found it on the street outside his Singleton Avenue home — still with two signs stuck to the side.

Riley swore and became abusive to officers, who quizzed him about the signs, the other of which read ‘please do not vote Labour’.

He was arrested after police made repeated efforts to reason with him, the court was told.

Riley appeared in court yesterday representing himself, but was removed by security staff at the request of chair of the bench Roz Clarke, after repeatedly shouting down magistrates and court staff.

He left the court building and security staff were instructed not to let him back in. The case was then heard in his absence.

Giving evidence, Sgt Alex Metcalfe said: “I could see straight away that he was angry and belligerent.

“He was swearing and he was aggressive. Children of school age were playing out and they were within hearing distance of what he was saying.

“His behaviour, coupled with the signs he had put on his van, and the fact we had already been called to one incident meant I was alarmed at how he was behaving.

“There were children playing out and mums walking past his can. There was no option but to arrest him.”

PC Alison Casey said in her evidence that Riley eventually turned his abuse to her, saying “the police never do anything about child abuse”.

The court heard she might not have taken any action had Riley calmed down and removed the signs from the van — which was parked on the street in full public view — but he refused to do so.

Riley was found guilty of a public order offence of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

He must pay a court bill of £1,255, comprising a £350 fine, £350 in costs, £520 criminal courts charge and a £35 victim surcharge.

On the day of the election, Labour councillor for Horwich Kevin McKeon said: “I feel sorry for a person whose bitterness can compel them to do something like this.

“I don’t think this will have any effect on voters today.

“I am of course disappointed that someone has done this but I am very pleased that the police have taken swift and correct action on the matter.”

Labour MP Julie Hilling went on to lose her Bolton West seat to the Conservatives’ Chris Green by just 801 votes.
