Man guilty of ripping a niqab off a Muslim woman

Peter Scotter, 55, of Beach Street, Sunderland Park, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour and the offence was racially aggravated.

He was ordered to pay a fine of £81, a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £625.
