A man and a woman exploited a seven-year-old girl and involved her in pornography worldwide.

Michael Kinnear and Caroline Shaw took obscene pictures of the little girl and distributed them a court was told.

Kinnear, 48, who gave his last known address as Fairfield Avenue, Blackpool, and Caroline Shaw, 29, formerly of Thornton Road, Morecambe, now living in Meldon Road, Morecambe, pleaded guilty to inciting a seven-year-old girl to be involved in pornography worldwide.

They also admitted offences of possessing and distributing indecent pictures, some at the highest level of indecency, of children.

Shaw further pleaded guilty to taking an indecent picture of a child and ill-treating a child.

All the offences took place at Morecambe between October last year and May this year.

Prosecutor Malcolm Isherwood said: “The case involves the taking and making of indecent images of children.

“They exploited a seven-year-old child, photographs were taken of her and distributed.”

The prosecution opposed bail for Kinnear.

The defendants were ordered to appear for sentence at Preston Crown Court on August 12 by Blackpool magistrates.

Kinnear was remanded in custody and Shaw was bailed.

A FORMER soldier who planned to “frame” his partner’s ex-boyfriend by downloading child pornography onto his computer has been jailed for six months.

John Broomfield, 28, from Bell Street, Swanage, admitted 20 counts of making indecent images of children.

Prosecuting at Bournemouth Crown Court, Kerry Maylin said Broomfield had been arrested and two computers seized on July 22 last year.

After the computers were forensically examined, 236 indecent images were found, depicting children and babies.

Ms Maylin said Broomfield had told police he had downloaded the images in a bid to get his partner’s ex-boyfriend “off her back”, adding: “He was going to download them to the other man’s computer, until his conscience got the better of him.”

In Broomfield’s defence, the court was told that he was “anti” child pornography and had been “disgusted” by the images he had made.

After eight years’ exemplary military service, Broomfield had been medically discharged after suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome. He was planning to do voluntary work.

Sentencing Broomfield, Judge Samuel Wiggs told him: “I regard your potential use of these images as being particularly serious.”

Broomfield will be on the sex offenders’ register for seven years.

AN AIRBUS security check on a worker’s computer revealed indecent images of children and sparked a police investigation.

When police probed the emails of Broughton factory employee Matthew Woodward they discovered he had received an email from someone claiming to be a 13-year-old girl looking to exchange ‘naughty pictures’.

Woodward, 22, formerly of Cable Street in Connah’s Quay, pleaded guilty at Mold Crown Court to 16 offences.

Judge Niclas Parry imposed a three-year community order and sent him on a sexual offending treatment programme.

Woodward must complete 120 hours of unpaid work and will remain on the Sex Offenders Register for five years.

He is also banned from working with children.

David Mainstone, prosecuting, said that in September 2011 Airbus did a check of the defendant’s computer and as a result his offending came to light.

Police then seized Woodward’s personal laptop and further images of children were found.

Andrew Green, defending, said Woodward’s life had ‘fallen apart’ because of what he had done.

The defendant had lost his job and moved to Derby, the court was told.
